New product for primary prevention of VTE

Boehringer Ingelheim has announced the launch of a new oral anticoagulant dabigatran etexliate (Pradaxa) for the primary prevention of venous thromboembolic events (VTE) in adults who have undergone elective total hip or total knee replacement surgery.
